A hero is defined as: ​

An Educator, Fire, Healthcare, Volunteer, Military, Police, Community Service personnel 

(i.e. County Dispatch, Lifeguard, Community Hero)​ that has had a significant impact on the community.

  

The Daytona News-Journal announces the 2023 Hometown Hero Awards.

 

 The Daytona Beach News-Journal will recognize Volusia-Flagler's HOMETOWN HEROES, the brave men, women, and community leaders who help keep us safe and make our community a better place.

  


Before submitting a nomination, please ensure the nominee meets the following criteria:  

Hometown Hero nominees must live or work in Volusia-Flagler County; must spend the majority of their charitable time in Volusia-Flagler County; must be a volunteer, professional or person with significant impact on the community.
